A workshop connecting motherhood, mindfulness and movement

October 12

10-12 PM

No one who wishes to nourish themselves through an offering at Roots will be turned away for lack of funds. Please reach out if you need assistance to make it to Mindful Mamas.

Reach out if you’d like to join but feel financial stress - no one who wishes to nourish themselves through an offering at Roots will be turned away for lack of funds.

Our Mindful Mamas workshop aims to help you integrate your 'old' self with your 'new' self.

In this dynamic workshop you will have the chance to talk with other mamas and mamas-to-be. This workshop will be facilitated by psychotherapist and fellow mom, Lexi Newhall, MA, MFT, LCPC.  Lexi owns Anam Cara Bozeman and she specializes in perinatal mental health. Lexi is an SEP (Somatic Experiencing Practitioner) and has been in practice for over 15 years. She integrates somatic therapy with mindfulness, attachment theory, and yoga. During this workshop we will explore your path to pregnancy/parenthood, how you are feeling in your journey now and how you might move through this stage of life from a place of security and grace.  Lexi has been running Mindful Mamas groups since 2017 and she can't wait to meet YOU!

What to expect

We will explore emotions through the body using mindfulness practices and movement. To do this we will:

  • renew through meditation

  • learn various mindfulness exercises that can be practiced at home

  • identify emotion through movement

  • reconnect to the body through yoga

  • gain personal insight using guided imagery

  • share experiences with fellow moms

  • find clarity by journaling
