We have three weekly Blossom Mom groups in Bozeman, and two monthly groups in Park County to accommodate as many schedules as possible.
Blossom Mom is a peer-to-peer support group guided by a skilled facilitator and mother like yourself. This group welcomes new and expecting mothers in all stages of pregnancy and the first year postpartum who wish to connect on the joys and challenges of pregnancy and parenthood, while also gaining wisdom and support from others in a compassionate and non-judgmental space.
At Roots, we know that parenting is hard. And we know parenting without community is even harder. You are not alone, come join us with your baby or just yourself.
Please respect our space and other families by honoring our illness policy; please do not come if you or your baby are feeling sick or are still contagious.
What to expect at Blossom Mom
We use a peer-to-peer support group model that is both structured and unstructured, allowing for all voices to be heard and acknowledged, and for those who wish to be listeners to be respected. You can expect a friendly, inviting and trained peer-facilitator, in a safe and comfy space accompanied by other mothers who understand. An opportunity to share uninterrupted, and free of judgment and advice-giving.
Common themes that come up during our group are, but not limited to:
sleep deprivation
feeling overwhelmed
partner relationships
work / life balance
resources in the community
feeding
loss of identity
how to reach out for help
Meet our facilitators
Laura Durning
Laura is a mom to three. She was 22 and terrified when she had her first baby and knew the transition into motherhood had to be easier, but had no idea what that might look like. Later in life, in 2020 she had her second baby and found the Roots Blossom Mom support group. The sense of community and support that she found in that group was exactly what she had been looking for a decade earlier.
Lauras passion resides in supporting moms in those delicate months and years as they grow into a new person.
